I went to Cheshire to watch Jonathan Law at Cheshire in Girls Softball - both teams came into the game undefeated
It was a wild game indeed but not until the very end - let me explain
Cheshire scored 2 runs in the 1st inning with the help of 3 Law errors, Jordan McCue belted a 2 run Home Run in the 4th inning and led 4-0; Cheshire pitcher Jenica Matos was breezing along throwing a no hitter with a bunch of strikeouts - easy right?
Nope - Jonathan Law came off the canvas in the 7th inning and scored 4 runs on 2 hits and 2 Cheshire errors! 4-4 after 7
But Cheshire reawakened and scored the game winning run in the bottom of the 8th inning - again with the help of 2 Law errors, a sacrifice bunt, and a game winning rbi single from Jordan McCue - Final Cheshire 5 Jonathan Law 4(8); Karla Carangelo also had an rbi single for the Rams; Pitcher Jenica Matos finished with a 4 hitter and 18 strikeouts!
For Jonathan Law - Julia Scibek and Emily Roos had huge rbis
