Casey is a three-year-old Border Collie mix. She began her journey at CHS in August when her previous family had faced a lifestyle change and wanted her to have a bright future in a wonderful home.
She weighs about 70 pounds of pure, unconditional love, and would do best living in a single-family home. Casey loves hiking in the woods, playing in the water, riding in the car, and playing with rope toys. She's currently working on her leash manners, basic obedience, and agility training.
Casey will enjoy living with children over the age of ten who are familiar with large, rambunctious dogs. She has not had much experience living with dogs, but she may be willing to share her home with a like-minded canine. Casey may also be willing to share her home with a cat after a slow introduction. She is a high-energy dog and will thrive in a home where she can get plenty of exercise every day.
If you're interested in Casey, she is available for adoption in Waterford. See more at CThumane.org/adopt or come visit in person.
