BLONDIE
Look at that sweet face and adorably floppy ears! This girl is as sweet a treat as a blondie. Blondie is a 4.5 month-old Labrador Retriever mix with a beautiful short tan and white coat. This sweet gal currently weighs in at 21 lbs., but she is still a young pup and is expected to grow to be a large dog (over 50 lbs.) when fully grown.
Sweet Blondie is looking for the perfect family for her! She enjoys spending time with her pup pals, plus she is good with kids! She has not had the opportunity to meet a cat yet, so we are not sure how she would feel about a feline companion. As long as she gets plenty of love, care, and attention, she will be happy! With her medium energy level, she could be your perfect companion for everything from movie nights to outdoor adventures.
Blondie is working hard on her leash, crate, and house training, which are all in progress. She cannot wait to keep learning and impress you with her growing skills! With the right amount of patience and guidance, Blondie will grow from a sweet, curious puppy into a wonderful canine companion. Her perfect family will have the time, desire, and energy to train and socialize her so that she can become the best pup she can be.

BABY GIRL
Baby Girl is waiting for you to make her part of your family! She is a sweet, patient girl who will make an awesome family pet. She is a gorgeous black and white Boxer mix, 2 years old and 50 pounds. That face is meant for pictures and in to be shared with family and friends on social media. She has not only the sweetest personality but also the deepest soulful eyes that speak volumes of her personality.
Baby Girl has medium energy and is good with kids and other dogs, we are not sure about cats yet. Her best friends are dogs and children so she will do well with any or both in her company. She makes the best company with just about anyone.
She is leash trained and working on her house and crate training. Baby Girl is looking for a family who will help her complete her training with positive reinforcement and plenty of play, exercise and love.

BEAUTY
Beauty is a lab mix who is just over 2 years old and weighs 66 lbs. She's a naturally smart and curious girl, and loves to play outdoors. Beauty enjoys the company of most other dogs, adults, and kids 5 years and older, however, she does not like cats.
Beauty is house trained and crate trained, and loves to chill in her crate. She also walks well on a leash. She is a higher energy dog and needs an active family to take her on daily walks and give her plenty of opportunities to run.
As with all dogs, Beauty needs an owner who will provide her with consistent training and structure, along with lots of mental and physical activity, and of course, lots of love.

About Dog Star Rescue:
Dog Star Rescue, a non-profit, volunteer-run organization, is a dog rescue organization based out of the Hartford CT area. We work closely with shelters in the South as well as New England states to save the lives of loving and loyal dogs who have lost their way and find themselves on death row. Our team of wonderful volunteers get these adoptable dogs the medical and emotional care they need so they can transition into a loving forever home. To date, we’ve placed over 4,000 dogs with new families.
All of our amazing volunteers are unpaid and donate their time because of their passion for helping dogs. They spend significant time each week helping guide dogs to a wonderful new life. What’s the meaning behind our name?
The name Dog Star comes from the common name for the star Sirius, reflecting its prominence in its constellation, Canis Major (Greater Dog). The symbolism of the star as a guide to a safe passage is what we strive to do for our adoptable dogs as we find them a new life with a loving family.
