Wednesday I ventured out to Guilford to take in East Haven at Guilford - it was a cold and very windy day - but the game was a gem

East Haven bolted out to a 5-1 lead, but the Grizzles fought back to tie the game in the bottom of the 7th and Guilford had the winning run on 3rd base - but a spectacular catch by East Haven left fielder Bella O'Mara kept the game tied. Then in the top of the 8th inning, a big 2 run single by Delaney Shepard, drove in the game winning runs and East Haven had a hard fought 7-5 win.

For East Haven: Gianna Santoro was the winning pitcher and 13 strikeouts, at the plate she had 2 hits, Gabby Dion had an RBI and Mia Vitello had a huge 3 run double

For Guilford: Kenna Tansey had 2 doubles and a triple and an RBI, Mady Aguilar had 2 hits and scored 2 runs
