I ventured out to North Haven Tuesday to see Amity at North Haven in Girls Softball
I expected a good game and a good game I saw.
Not a lot of offense, but an exciting and entertaining game
North Haven scored a run in the 2nd inning on an rbi single by Emelia Brandi; it stayed that way until the 7th inning; Amity tied the game at 1 on back to back doubles by Jenna Maus and Leah Monschein
But the Nighthawks won the game in the bottom of the 7th on 2 singles(Chloe Belcher, Emelia Brandi(bunt single) and an error loaded the bases ; then Alex Anquillare sent everyone home as she ripped a single to left field driving home the game winning rbi and North Haven had themselves a 2-1 win over the Spartans; a game that had a Post Season atmosphere
Reece Hebert was the winning pitcher, a complete game performance, giving up 5 hits and had 4 strikeouts - this was a very good game
I also want to thank Michelle(wife of umpire Pedro Quintana) who allowed Pedro to sell me his chair(since I left my chair home); this chair was top shelf - tray , a bag to hold my things, couldn't resist it - it will be with me at the games
